I've worked my whole life to
I didn't realize how valuable they were.
For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.
You can’t have good without evil or peaks without valleys.
We need to have faith when we gaze into what appears to be those
bottomless cauldrons of darkness.
Because for every dark shadow we have there is an equal and opposite golden glow. We just need to admit which cauldrons are ours in order to reap the rewards.
And when we find the courage to “own” them the most surprising thing we learn is that we're not alone. No one's shadow is unique...they original in their surrounding circumstances, but not unique.
Awareness from our past provides us with wonderful gifts such as...
empathy, understanding, experience, kindness, strength, desire, perseverance, passion and compassion.
So when facing our shadows, it's important to remember the paradox of it all. That there’s no such thing as Evil, because evil teaches good and therefore is good. It provides us a wealth of knowledge.
"Evil" spelled backwards is "live."
Seeing our shadows from different perspectives has exactly the same effect.
So the best thing we can do is to look at things from different perspectives…
to have the courage to take ownership of those dark cauldrons.
Because once we do, we also have the wonderful surprise of learning that they are not cauldrons at all…
they are actually pots of gold at the end of the rainbow.
